AWUTU SENYA DISTRICT CELEBRATES WORLD ART DAY WITH STYLE
World Art Day celebration highlights the significance of art in our lives, reinforcing the links between artistic creations and society, promoting awareness of the diversity of artistic expressions, and highlighting the contribution of artists to sustainable development. Throughout history, art has played a crucial role in conveying messages of evolution, revolution, freedom, and creativity, serving as a messenger to the masses on global isscues.
Art which can be expressed through various forms such as painting, sculpture, music, dance, and literature, has the ability to capture the essence of the human experience, reflecting our hopes, dreams, and struggles.
On May 29th, 2024, senior high schools in Awutu Senya District came together to commemorate the 2024 World Art Day at the Eugene Arhin Library in Awutu Beraku. The event, themed “Celebrating a Garden of Expression, Cultivating Community through Art,” aimed to promote creative activity and appreciate the beauty of art.
The District Director of Education, Mr. Isaac Acquaah Arhin, who was the Chairman for the occasion emphasized the significance of art, likening creators to artists and encouraging students to embrace their artistic talents. He noted that art is not just a hobby, but a way of appreciating nature and the work of the creator.

Also, the District Chief Executive, Honourable Moses Arhinful Acquah, praised artists for their unique ability to create something from nothing, contributing to the country’s development. He expressed his disappointment in the lack of respect given to artists and urged students to pursue art with passion and pride.
