COMMISSIONING OF AMBULANCE BAY

The National Ambulance Service Bay at Awutu Beraku in the Awutu Senya West District has been commissioned on 6th January, 2022 by Hon. Joseph Aidoo, the District Chief Executive of the Awutu Senya West District Assembly in the central region. Hon. Joseph Aidoo in his speech called on users of the facility to observe maintenance culture in order to allow the facility to serve its intended purpose.

He said the government of Ghana is most concerned in promoting better healthcare for the people and will ensure this is successful.

At the ceremony, the Director of Operations for the Ghana National Ambulance Service, D O Bridjan Ashong frowned against the rate at which the service receives prank calls. He said about 80 percent of calls received by the service in the previous year were pranks and has called on the general public to desist from such an act to help them work effectively.

 

The District Health Director, Mad. Nancy Ekyem advised the general public to adhere to all the COVID-19 safety protocols. She said the vaccines have been made available at the District Health Center and encouraged people who have not yet been vaccinated to do so since its safe.
