COMMISSIONING OF NEW LIBRARY AT AWUTU SENYA
The first lady Mrs. Rebecca Akuffo Addo, on October 29, 2020, with support from other executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), commissioned a new library, and music studio, for the people of Awutu Senya in the central Region.
The first lady, has built and furnished many of such libraries in various districts. The purpose for the provision of these libraries is to promote and enhance education and Awutu Senya is privileged to have available a library, an electronic library, and a music studio.
The paramount chief of Awutu Traditional Area, Nai Abokuade Agyemang Wyettey Otabil III during the occasion, welcomed her excellency the first lady, indicating how excited and proud he is to have her in Senya. According to him, over the years, they have been dealing with false promises of political leaders, but the NPP, has proven to be faithful, through the establishment of the Landing beach site, school dormitories, and a modern library, which is the reason for the purpose of gathering. Nai Abokuade Agyemang Wyettey III, further requested that the people of Senya be allowed to celebrate the Akumase festival next year, since they have been denied right to celebration, since 2013. He awarded the first lady with the tittle Naasei Okaik) I, Nk)suo) Hemaa of Senya Traditional Area.
MP ADDRESSING PARTY FAITHFULS
The member of parliament for Awutu Senya West Constituency, Nenyi George Andah, equally shortlisted some of the benefits of the NPP, and assured the general public of seeing to it that they can celebrate the Akumase Festival, if only they maintain peace and tolerance. He pointed out that the New Patriotic Party, is never going to legalize Okada in Ghana, because it is not safe. Therefore, they will introduce BE YOUR OWN BOSS initiative, where Okada riders will be put into driving schools, and helped to get their own vehicles.
FIRST LADY DELIVERING HER SPEECH
Mrs. Rebecca Akuffo Addo, addressed the pubic, stating all the good works done by His Excellency the President Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo, and promised to do more, if given a second term. She campaigned for Nenyi George Andah, to be given a second term, stating that no MP has had two terms in Awutu Beraku. She promised the provision of soft loans, and thanked the paramount Chief of Awutu Traditional Area, for the title of Naasei Okaik) I, Nk)suo) Hemaa of Senya Traditional Area. She proceeded to the Senya Community library and music studio premises to cut the ribbon for people to have access to the place. The library was named after her; THE REBECCA AKUFFO ADDO LIBRARY.
