On Friday June 11, 2021 the Awutu Senya District participated in the national launch of the Green Ghana Project, an initiative of the government, to plant five million trees across the country. The district in its effort to support the policy intends to plant five thousand trees across the district to improve the ecosystem.
According to the DCE, the Green project aims at creating green jobs and promoting the growth of the green and circular economy in Ghana. The project will achieve this by improving skills and increasing access to finance for youth, small and medium enterprises.
